Company Background
In the winter of 1992, Phil Chaimberg, President of Swing Paints, was undergoing treatment for a chronic knee injury at a clinic in Montreal, Canada. The clinic used Electronic Muscle Stimulators (EMS) to aid in injury repair and in cosmetic muscle strengthening.

In discussion of his chronic injury, Phil mentioned that he used a bag of frozen peas (in place of an ice bag) as a follow up to his regular treatments. Because of the nature of the frozen food package, the cold teatment could be applied with even pressure that would conform to the knee and then relieve discomfort. Phil jokingly called the process his "thera-pea" , and a new company NORSK Fitness Products inc, and a line Thera-P, were born.

Today, Thera-P has well-established international distribution channels and its complete line of cold/hot compression wraps is available in Canada, the United States, France, England, Portugal and Japan.

Corporate Bio
Phil Chaimberg founded Montreal based Norsk Fitness Products, inc. using the same common sense approach to business and management that had proved to be successful in developing Circa 1850 Wood Finishing Products. The "hands-on" management team of Norsk is led by Phil.

Mark Chaimberg, is the vice president of Norsk. A seasoned professional with a doctorate in chemical engineering, Mark works on new product development and sales of the Norsk Thera-P products. His strong sales experience was instrumental in enabling Norsk to penetrate the physical therapy, injury treatment and injury prevention market.

Eric Chaimberg, Advertising Manager, coordinates the company's various advertising, public relations, event sponsorship and direct marketing promotions.
